A third popular climbing rose bush is the Zephirine Drouhin. These climbing rose bushes have a fragrance that fills the air with each large bloom. It prospers in alkaline soil, pollution, and shade. These climbing rose bushes open large, fragrant flowers of bright pink on nearly thorn-less stems. They are perfect for covering a wall or climbing over an arch. The coppery-purple new growth is a vivid contrast to the bright bloom.
